Ford Ranger XLT Plus Special Edition soon to launch in Malaysia

Sime Darby Auto Connexion (SDAC), the sole distributor of Ford in Malaysia has unveiled a special edition of Ford Ranger XLT Plus which will be available nationwide starting 10 March 2022 in Malaysia. The new Ford Ranger XLT Plus still hasn’t landed here yet but we will be welcoming the Special Edition until the launch of the all-new model at our shores. This Special Edition adds a number of extra visual flares to the Ranger XLT Plus pick-up truck, making it an extra RM6,000 higher price than the standard Ranger XLT Plus model. 

This special-edition model priced at RM136,888* (on-the-road, without insurance, registration and road tax). While the standard version priced at RM130,820 nett. As per typical, this special-edition comes with a 5 Years or 160,000km manufacturer warranty, whichever comes first. The special-edition will surely be a favorite choice of Ranger buyers as it saves you the trouble of modifying the pick-up truck yourself. The modification includes the Raptor-style FORD block letter front grille, black plastic fender  flare claddings replete with fake bolts, and a tube-style sports bar round the back.

In terms of the interior, the special-edition Ranger XLT Plus comes with illuminated door sill scuff and a front dash-cam with a built-in light polariser, including a 32GB MicroSD memory card which is also available for smartphone connectivity via a companion app. Other than that, the rest of the specifications are similar to the standard Ranger XLT Plus. The special-edition Ranger XLT is powered by the same 2.0 Single Turbo Diesel Engine which produces a maximum power output of 180 PS and 420 Nm of torque with a 10-Speed automatic transmission.  The new Special Edition of the Ranger XLT Plus available in five color options which are Absolute Black, Aluminum Metallic, Arctic White, Lighting Blue and Meteor Gray. Standard features shared among the standard and special edition of Ranger XLT Plus include the LED headlights, side steps, easy lift tailgate, 8’’ touchscreen SYNC 3 infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, rear-view reverse camera, leather upholstery, and a dual-zone automatic climate control.
